"Mark was our DJ/emcee/coordinator-angel for our wedding in September, and we are so happy he was recommended to us from our venue!! I honestly can't say enough good things about this guy, he is absolutely amazing. From the start he was incredibly responsive and easy to work with, and we felt very reassured that we were in good hands. Mark does not just play music, he does EVERYTHING. He has a wonderful ability to be detail-oriented (like making sure some of our wedding ceremony songs started a few seconds in to bypass the long intros) while simultaneously taking in the big picture (like feeling the crowd at the wedding and knowing when to throw in jokes as he emceed events like the bouquet toss).
We got so many compliments on how smoothly the whole night went after our wedding, and so much of that is thanks to Mark. We didn't have to worry about anything the whole night, he made sure we were taken care of, gave us plenty of heads up before each event, and was flexible when we spent longer than scheduled going around talking to tables. Mark, THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping us create such a beautiful, memorable night!!"

We could not be happier with how our ceremony and reception turned out. Mark is incredibly helpful with all of the details of ceremony and reception. He really knows how to feel out the crowd and play the best music possible, he incorporated some great requests from our guests and was very communicative and thoughtful during the reception about music and flow. We could not be happier with Mark as our wedding emcee and DJ. Thank you for contributing to the BEST WEDDING EVER!

Thank you so much for being the MC and the wedding "God Father" for our wedding. You truly made this experience much more relaxed and easy going than we imagined it to be. Thank you for all your help in preparation to the ceremony and reception. We will always keep you and your team in mind if anyone is looking for a DJ slash wedding "God Father".

When I read Mark's reviews, I thought "can he really be that good?" Well, what I found out is he is NOT good, he is outstanding! He runs everything from rehearsal to the end of the evening the night of the wedding, and he does it all perfectly! I was really nervous before the wedding began. Mark asked me a question regarding the seating. I stammered, I tried to answer, but I just couldn't get my brain to work past my nerves. Mark waited patiently, didn't rush me even though we were on a time restraint at that moment. I finally was able to pull myself together, and answer his question. He never once made me feel ridiculous or dimwitted. I picked a song that I wanted to dance to with my son. I called Mark because there were two different versions, and I wanted to make sure he had the one I liked the best. Right away without hesitation, he e-mailed me the song, and knowing Mark as I do now, he of course knew the exact song I wanted. I hate reviews that go on and on, and yet I am doing it myself. Mark is amazingly knowledgeable, sweet and Charming as well. Hire him, you will not be sorry!

Our daughter was married at Wildwood Acres Resort on July 11, 2015. Mark Welch was the DJ and he was fabulous! He ran the rehearsal dinner seamlessly and also the wedding. He was very fun and very personable. He knew what needed to happen and when and kept everything moving without it feeling too choreographed. Many people told us how much they enjoyed the music and the event as a whole. Highest marks to Mark!

Mark Welch Entertainment was suggested to us by Wildwood Acres as a preferred vendor and because we booked him through Wildwood Acres, there was a price deal offered. I am so happy we decided to book Mark for my daughter's wedding. I was very impressed with the fact that he was present at the rehearsal, coordinating the flow of the rehearsal and would coordinate the day of the wedding; thereby eliminating the need for a wedding coordinator.
Thank you so much to the Wildwood Acres team! Our wedding felt exactly how we hoped...a big family reunion. Paul from Mark Welch entertainment was great and all of the staff/servers were professional, nice to our guests and helped keep things fun. Our whole day could not have gone more smoothly. We are a pretty relaxed couple so if you want somewhere reasonably priced where they will take the reins, this is a great choice. It is naturally beautiful, so not a lot of additional decoration is needed...overall the best choice for a lovely and low maintenance event. We would love to find a reason to have a party here again. Note: Lien is great if you texted her, but harder to get a hold of through email.

As with any event, there are bound to be a few snafus, and this one was no exception. The laptop wouldn't play the music my daughter selected for her to walk down the aisle. Mark's assistant quickly retrieved a back up laptop and the music started. They say "everything happens for a reason" and my husband told me later that during the wait time, he and my daughter had a very special moment together! Another thing that impressed me about Mark, is that he played whatever music for the processional as you wanted. The bride and groom selected everything from 60's music to heavy metal and he accommodated their wishes. It was fun to have such a mixture of styles woven into the music of the processional.
Mark was upbeat, fun and kept everyone informed as to what would be happening next and an approximate time. He played music that was requested prior to the event (not sure if he played any "requests" that night). It didn't matter though, because everyone had a great time.
I would recommend Mark Welch in a heartbeat!

I had my wedding at Wildwood Acres on August 7, 2015. I absolutely love the venue, it's gorgeous outside with beautiful greenery and at night with all of the lights. The venue is gorgeous as it is, you don't have to add much, if anything at all. I had about 100 guests attend which worked great with this venue. Dan and Lien, the owners, were very helpful and caring throughout the time we signed our contract up to the day of the wedding. Their open houses are great, I highly suggest checking them out so you can sample the food (which my guests loved, you're basically getting a good home cooked meal that doesn't taste like bland, typical wedding food) as well as other preferred vendors. They are also very up-front with their costs, restrictions, and reasons as to why they run the place as they do and I appreciated their honesty-- they are a hard working family and they care about their clients. Some things may be hard to deal with, such as only getting a 1-hour set-up time before the wedding, unless you pay more for additional time, but knowing this all way in advance, we were able to make sure it all worked out by having family/groomsmen set things up quickly since we had it all planned out already. You can take all day to set up a site, or you can take 30 minutes if you know where everything needs to go, it's really not a big deal. I also highly recommend their master of ceremonies/DJ Mark Welch. I originally planned on going with a DJ I knew, but seeing as Mark knew the site so well and also coordinated the day of the wedding, I went with him to save myself the stress. I am so glad I did, he was entertaining, beyond kind, and kept the night going on schedule--I didn't even notice the time all night because it ran so smoothly. Overall, I feel that I could not have picked a better site for my wedding. Dan and Lien are great people and thanks to them, I had one of the best days of my life at Wildwood Acres.

My husband and I got married at Wildwood Acres in June 2013 and it truly was our PERFECT wedding day. We feel incredibly fortunate to have gotten married at such a beautiful and magical venue and to have received the support of the owners, Dan & Lein, throughout the wedding planning process. For anyone who loves trees, flowers, serenity, and the enchantment of nature, this is an ideal place to get married. What's more is that this is a family run business which spans two generations, and for decades this family has poured love, commitment, and creativity into nurturing the land and creating a sacred space to hold ceremony and celebration. Trust me, you will feel this the moment you set foot on the land! From the first moment we entered Wildwood Acres we knew that this was the place we wanted to get married. As we walked farther into the venue we became more and more amazed by all the different patios, the canopy of trees, and the fountains... our biggest delight came we got to the top of the venue where we found a cathedral of trees under which ceremonies take place. We stopped with our jaws dropped, looked up at the trees, inhaled the silence, and gazed at the archway under which we got married about a year later. Let's return to the silence for a minute.... we saw so many beautiful pictures of wedding venues online, only to discover when we visited these venues that they were noisy! Wildwood Acres is peaceful and still. This means it is silent in moments when you want it to be, and then, when you are ready for noise, it is quickly filled with the right kind of noise - toasts, music, celebration, and cheer! During this initial visit Lein guided us through the venue, and talked about all the different ways that the space could be used. She was warm and delightful, and we became friends right away. As a bride and groom new to the world of weddings, we were so happy to have Lein. She kept us calm and happy, and was always available when we wanted to talk during our year of planning. She listened to our needs, respected our wishes, shared creative suggestions from past weddings, and assured us that we would have an amazing wedding day. And that we did! On the day of the wedding Lein, Dan, and their crew took care of everything. Our guests were welcomed into the venue, and strolled happily through the venue, exploring the gardens and the patios. Family and bridal party members heard comments like, "Wow, I see what they meant now! This place is amazing and perfect for them!" Right before the ceremony I, the bride, had some nervousness and emotions; amazed that I was in the middle of this once-in-a-lifetime day. I was put to ease by Dan and Lein who were coordinating everything. Dan provided reassuring words that all was going smoothly, and he coordinated the ceremony entrance by cuing everyone about when to walk and when to pause. Lein, who was working hard preparing the delicious food, popped out of the kitchen just to see me, smile, and wave as I began to walk up to the ceremony area with my parents. What was wonderful about working with Dan and Lein is that they were so happy for us, and for our day. They weren't just providing services - they were delighted for us and they took care of all the details throughout the day to be sure that everything went smoothly. The ceremony unfolded with ease and love. Mark, the DJ who worked closely with Lien & Dan, coordinated the music throughout the ceremony. We took pictures after the ceremony, and then we came down to the reception area and were met by our smiling guests and the wedding crew. The DJ coordinated all the transitions, and kept the event flowing smoothly. The dinner, appetizers and grilled-cheese after dinner snack were DELICIOUS! Our guests continue to rave about the food, even two months after the wedding! Everyone began with hearty portions, and many went back for seconds. Our guests were amazed that the environment, the service, and the food were so extraordinary - this shows what a find Wildwood Acres is! I don't want to imagine being an engaged couple who didn't know about this magical place! I am sure many more brides would post reviews - but I think many of us go into hibernation for a bit after planning out the big day! If you're looking for a wedding venue, I'd suggest giving them a call, or checking out their open house on the first Tuesday of the month. We looked at many venues, and nothing came close to this one... Wildwood Acres is an absolute treasure! In summary, we received EXCELLENT service throughout the preparation and the day, an abundance of delicious food, and an extraordinary environment! We had the most beautiful day we could have imagined. We highly recommend it! On a scale of 1 to 5, we give them a perfect 10!!! THANK YOU Dan and Lein for our perfect wedding day! Much Love and Gratitude!!
